Ë¿¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Ohio Medicaid members can now ask Alexa questions about their Ë¿¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ health plan. Ohio Medicaid members who enable the new Ë¿¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ Alexa Skill in the Alexa app on their phone can then obtain information about their health plan, benefits, and prescription refills through an Alexa-enabled device like an Amazon Echo. The interactions with the Ë¿¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ Skill comply with federal HIPAA privacy rules.

“Ë¿¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ is committed to finding ways for our members to connect digitally, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Devon Valencia, Chief Information Officer at Ë¿¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ. “We are proud to offer Alexa Skill for Ohio Medicaid Members and are looking forward to offering the skill for other plans and members in the future.”

Ë¿¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ is one of the newest health plans to offer their members access to their information through an Alexa Skill.

Members can launch the Ë¿¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ Alexa Skill by saying “Alexa, open Ë¿¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ”, and ask questions on their Alexa-enabled devices, such as:

  • “Alexa, do I have prescription refills?”
  • “Alexa, how can I reach my care manager?”
  • “Alexa, what vision services are covered?”
  • “Alexa, how can I get a ride to visit my doctor?”
