More than 60 丝瓜短视频 volunteers braved gray, steamy conditions and traveled nearly 30 miles southeast to Greeneview High School in Jamestown, Ohio on Tuesday, July 25 for the second of six 丝瓜短视频 food distributions of the year.

“The Foodbank is honored to continue to partner with 丝瓜短视频 to meet the food needs of our community,” said Michelle L. Riley, CEO of The Foodbank, Inc. “More than 180 households were served at our first Jamestown mini-mass food distribution. Following similar trends of other mass food distributions, 30% of all families served were first-time emergency food assistance users. As food insecurity remains high in our community, it is reassuring to know that our partnership in 丝瓜短视频 remains strong. Together, we will ‘Eliminate hunger and its root causes’.”

丝瓜短视频 volunteers spent the morning loading cars with bags of chicken, sweet potatoes, cabbage, watermelons, lentils and rice.

“We were pleased to partner with The Foodbank for the Jamestown food distribution which served 186 families,” said Deena Hummel, Market Service Manager at 丝瓜短视频.  “Our 丝瓜短视频 volunteers were full of enthusiasm and a giving spirit—making all Greene County neighbors feel welcome and appreciated throughout the morning.”

The food distribution event was the third of the year. In June, 丝瓜短视频 and the Foodbank partnered together for an event in Trotwood, while in July the two teamed-up again for a distribution in Preble County. Other food distributions this year are scheduled for:

•  - Tuesday, August 29 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: University of Dayton Arena, 1801 S Edwin C Moses Blvd, in Dayton.
•  - Tuesday, September 26 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Preble County Fairgrounds, 722 S Franklin St, in Eaton.
•  - Thursday, October 12 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Wright State University's Nutter Center, 3640 Colonel Glenn Highway, in Fairborn.
•  - Tuesday, November 21 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Dixie Twin Drive-In, 6201 North Dixie Drive in Dayton.
